Steve Tuckwell is a dedicated public servant with a proven track record of delivering for Hillingdon. Since 2018, he has proudly served as the Ward Councillor for South Ruislip, working tirelessly to represent residents and tackle local issues.
A former Member of Parliament for Uxbridge & South Ruislip and Parliamentary Private Secretary in Kemi Badenoch’s department of Business & Trade, Steve brings extensive experience in championing local communities, fostering partnerships, and advocating for policies that make a real difference. His passion for helping residents achieve their potential is reflected in his hands-on approach to tackling challenges and improving the lives of those in Hillingdon.
Steve is also a former Chairman of Hillingdon’s Planning Committee, where he oversaw key decisions to support sustainable development and protect the borough’s character.
This experience underpins his current role as Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing, and Economic Growth, where he focuses on ensuring quality housing, driving economic opportunities, and promoting responsible planning.
