We, the undersigned, strongly support GLA candidate Henry Higgins and Mayoral Candidate Susan Hall in calling on Sadiq Khan to reconsider the inclusion of a pay-per-mile scheme in the London Transport Strategy.
We also advocate for the abandonment of ‘Project Detroit’, a plan to develop a technology platform to give TFL the capability for distance based road charging.
A pay-per-mile system poses a significant threat to communities in Ealing & Hillingdon, prompting our plea to the Mayor to eliminate distance-based road user charges from the Transport Strategy and discontinue Project Detroit.
