Shehryar Ahmad-Wallana has proudly served as a councillor for the last 12 years, earning a strong reputation as a representative who listens, acts, and delivers results. He served for eight years on the Planning Committee, helping to guide sustainable development and housing decisions, and currently sits on the Licensing Committee, ensuring community standards are upheld. He was also honoured to serve as Mayor of Hillingdon from 2023 to 2024, representing the borough with pride and strengthening community connections across its diverse population.
Shehryar holds four monthly councillors’ ward surgeries, giving residents the opportunity to raise issues and receive support directly. A proud resident of Hillingdon for 18 years, he has raised his family in the area and shares a deep personal connection with the community he serves. His daughter attended local schools and is now a Biomedical Engineer, giving back to society - reflecting the values of education, service, and opportunity that Shehryar champions.
Shehryar has built strong and lasting relationships across Colham and Cowley’s wonderfully diverse community, working closely with local Churches, Synagogues, gurdwaras, temples, mosques, and people of all backgrounds. Speaking English, Urdu, and Punjabi, he engages directly with residents from different communities, ensuring every voice is heard and valued.
Throughout his career, Shehryar has tackled housing challenges, supported local families, improved opportunities for young people, and worked alongside community groups to strengthen neighbourhood safety and cohesion. His record is one of action, not just words, demonstrating a commitment to making a tangible difference in residents’ lives.
Since 2022, elected to represent Colham and Cowley, Shehryar is determined to continue serving as a strong advocate for residents. His vision is for a safe, inclusive, and thriving community, where people of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds feel proud to belong.
