Introducing Ranjeet Rathore: Dedicated to Serving Northwood Hills
We are proud to announce Ranjeet Rathore as your Conservative candidate for Northwood Hills. With over 12 years as a Hillingdon resident and a background defined by leadership and public service, Ranjeet is ready to bring his proactive, "results-first" approach to our local ward.
Ranjeet’s commitment to our borough began at Brunel University in Uxbridge, where he was elected to two terms as Students’ Union President. Representing over 15,000 students, he honed his skills as a champion for welfare and community engagement—experiences that cemented his desire to serve the public.
A Record of Service
Beyond his professional life, Ranjeet demonstrates his dedication to our country and community as a member of the British Army Reserves. This role reflects the discipline and duty he brings to everything he does. As an active member of the local Conservative Association and a seasoned campaigner across Ruislip and Northwood, Ranjeet knows the issues that matter to you because he is on the ground listening to them every day.
Ranjeet’s Priorities for Northwood Hills:
Ranjeet is committed to being an accessible and responsive voice for our neighborhood, with a focus on:
- Protecting Our Green Spaces: Ensuring our local parks and environment are preserved for future generations.
- Supporting Local Business: Standing up for the independent shops and traders that make Northwood Hills unique.
- Safe & Well-Maintained Streets: Working tirelessly to ensure our roads are safe, clean, and free from the pressures of overdevelopment.
Ranjeet believes that being a Councillor is about delivering practical results. Whether it’s a local planning concern or a neighborhood safety issue, he is ready to stand up for the priorities of Northwood Hills residents.
Our Track Record: Delivering for Northwood Hills
While we welcome Ranjeet to the team, he joins a partnership with a long-standing commitment to our ward. Alongside Cllr Jonathan Bianco (Deputy Leader of the Council) and Cllr Kishan Bhatt, our focus has always been on protecting the unique character of Northwood Hills while investing in its future.
Recent Achievements for Our Ward:
- Protecting Our High Street & Heritage: We have overseen the multi-million pound regeneration of Northwood Hills town centre. This includes the rejuvenation of over 24 shop fronts, new granite paving, and the iconic "Metroland" murals that celebrate our local history.
- Investing in Education: We were proud to support the state-of-the-art £35 million redevelopment of Northwood School, ensuring our local children have access to first-class facilities for decades to come.
- Award-Winning Green Spaces: Thanks to consistent advocacy, Hogs Back Open Space has successfully retained its Green Flag Award, part of Hillingdon’s record-breaking 67 flags the most in the UK.
- Strong Financial Management: Jonathan Bianco’s role as Deputy Leader has been instrumental in delivering Hillingdon’s long-term Council Tax freezes for older residents, ensuring your money is managed responsibly.
- Enhanced Security & Safety: We listened to residents and traders regarding anti-social behavior, intervening to install new security fencing at the rear of the Salisbury Road shops and ensuring regular road resurfacing across the ward, including recent works on Haydon Drive and Briarwood Drive.
- Affordable Housing for Families: We recently secured planning permission for the transformation of outdated sites in Haydon Drive into 21 high-quality, sustainable family homes, specifically designed for those on the local housing register.
A Strong Future for Northwood Hills
As Kishan Bhatt prepares to depart, he leaves behind a ward that is safer, greener, and more prosperous. Ranjeet Rathore is ready to step into this role, working alongside Jonathan Bianco to ensure that the voices of Northwood Hills residents continue to be heard at the highest levels of the Civic Centre.
