A tireless advocate for Uxbridge with a focus on getting the basics right and getting things done for residents. The driving force behind campaigns to Save Mount Vernon’s Urgent Care Unit and force a rethink on the closure of Hayes Police Station last year.

Regularly out and about with residents in Uxbridge and taking action on concerns - with hundreds of pieces of fly tipping removed and leading on initiatives to restore pride in Uxbridge.

Cllr Anil Taneja was elected as a Conservative councillor in 2026. Anil is local to the area and has worked as a cardiologist and acute physician for nearly 30 years, with a lot of that time at Hillingdon Hospital. He is now semi-retired and focusing on work in the community.
