Key achievements
- A swale, anti-flooding scheme, was installed on the eastern side of Bessingby Park.
- Gave funds to St Lawrence Church to refurbish and modernise its kitchen.
- Investment in Eastcote House Gardens – including installing new paths and benches, and removing old trees and plant new ones in the wild orchard.
- Helped Newnham Infant School to redevelop the outdoor nature area and create calm/quiet zones in the playground.
- Money from the Ward budget was given to the Pembroke Park Estate to install a toddler swing.
- Highgrove Pool and Fitness Centre benefitted from £1 million from the council’s £2.25 million leisure centre investment programme to refurbish its health and fitness areas, changing rooms, reception and create a new sauna and steam rooms.
- The Council supported residents across Eastcote to hold street parties to celebrate Royal events, such as the Coronation of King Charles III.
- The charity Trees for Cities worked with the London Borough of Hillingdon in the autumn to plant, with the help of volunteers, 60 new trees in Bessingby Park.
- Resurfaced roads and replaced pavements across Eastcote.
- The award-winning raingardens on Field End Road were refreshed with the planting of hundreds of new plants.
