Ruislip is a historic and well-connected part of the borough, with a strong sense of community and a mix of heritage, green space, and local amenities. At the heart of the ward is the Manor Farm complex, home to The Great Barn, a 13th-century timber-framed building that reflects the area’s deep historical roots.

The ward also includes Ruislip Woods, a National Nature Reserve and the largest area of woodland in London, covering 755 acres. It provides peaceful walking routes and a haven for wildlife.

Ruislip has a long and vibrant High Street, with a range of independent shops, cafés, and services that support the local economy and bring people together. The area is well served by Ruislip and West Ruislip stations, offering connections across four lines. There are four strong primary schools—Whiteheath Junior, Whiteheath Infant, BWI, and Warrender—and an active voluntary sector, including Scout and Guide groups, Cadets, and a range of local organisations.

Cllr Philip CORTHORNE, Cllr John RILEY, and Cllr Peter Smallwood OBE have a strong record of delivery for Ruislip.

Key Achievements and Activities (Since 2022) include:
•    Secured free parking at Waitrose Car Park, making a real difference for residents and supporting our High Street.
•    Brought a Christmas tree back to the heart of Ruislip High Street, helping to build community spirit and support local trade during the festive season.
•    Successfully campaigned for The Orchard to be locally listed, protecting this valued green space for future generations.
•    Used our ward budget to support local groups, including Ruislip Woods Trust, Ruislip Bowls Club, Friends of Pinn Meadow, and Ruislip Belles and Beaux.
•    Opposed the ULEZ expansion, standing up for residents and local businesses across Ruislip.
