Sadiq Khan has failed to meet his own transport targets, and now Londoners are paying the price. Instead of fixing congestion, he is doubling down on rolling out more blanket 20mph zones across the capital, despite evidence that traffic is already slowing to a crawl and journeys are taking longer than ever.
Hillingdon Conservatives support sensible, targeted 20mph limits around schools and hospitals, where they genuinely improve safety. But forcing them across suburban towns and communities will not work, just like LTNs and other anti-motorist policies have failed. It will only slow people down, frustrate residents, and make daily life harder.
