Shockingly, in a vote held in June 2025, Reform voted IN FAVOUR of Labour's plan to build on the Green Belt. Only Hillingdon Conservatives can be trusted to protect our precious local green spaces.
Given that Hillingdon is one of London’s greenest boroughs, it is inevitable that we will once again be lumbered with an unfair share of Labour’s targets.
We are disappointed that the Mayor has U-turned on his pledge to oppose building on London’s Green Belt, announcing he will release protected land for housing development in the London Plan. The Mayor is refusing to name which areas could be impacted, with parks and green spaces right across Hillingdon now under threat.
Hillingdon Conservatives Councillors will do everything possible within the legal and planning process to ensure that there is NO development on our local award winning parks and green spaces.
